There is a lot of spiritual knowledge that I don’t know - and I am in no hurry to know.
.
Too much reading spiritual text doesn’t work for my mind.
.
Living and teaching from an embodied vibration.
What I preach is what I have practiced and mastered. Nothing else.
.
I ENTERED the path of yoga and spirituality through books, through intellectual curiosity, and in early twenties I would read a lot of text.
.
If I have to pick anything to read today, I’d pick The Gita. But I’ll read a little, sit with it, let it absorb.
.
But reading books doesn’t SUSTAIN me on the path.
PRACTICE does.
SILENCE does.
DEVOTION does.
OBSERVING LIFE closely does.
HOW I BEHAVE WITH PEOPLE does.
.
Too much reading without Sadhna can make one delusional.
I have seen people start tripping on concepts like “Death”, “Kundalini”, etc too soon when actually their connection with their own body is so weak.
.
Spirituality for me is what BRINGS ME OUT OF MY HEAD and GROUNDS ME BACK INTO MY BODY, into the experience of the present moment.
.
That for me comes through daily Sadhna.
.
.
EXPERIENCE of knowledge is TRUE knowledge.
Rest is just what we copy pasted from ancient texts and google.
.
Between being well read and well experienced, I choose the latter.
