I will have played two shows in 2022 which is two more than 2021 and 2020 combined. I'm looking forward to playing more in 2023. Ideas for a new solo set are in the works. This is a lot harsher sounding than what I'm interested in doing in public but it's a lot of fun to mess around with at home.

Messing around with some scraps of conduit I took home from work. They’re not as resonant as I had hoped but they might get better mounted by their nodal points.
Gonna keep messing around on this setup for a minute I think. Beads processing the incoming audio. Blades is filtering some "paper sounds" being played back from the 301.
I cleared most of the shit off the table for this, but kept the mug @mike_lunoe gave me in the frame. It's custom and states that #millerhighlife is the official beer of 615 Foulke Street, which is where we lived together for a time.

I'm trying to get better about playing around with small or simple ideas. It's a bad habit of mine not to engage in an idea if I can't immediately see how it might turn into a half hour set of music. But maybe I'll have more "big music ideas" if give more time to having fun with small music ideas. I don't know.
Anyways, here's a cup and a bowl and some chopsticks going into Beads. I'm using a foot switch to trigger a new seed and randomize parameters out of teletype. I had a nice time doing it.

When you're trying to record some birds in Parker Woods and a helicopter flies over. Had to run the audio through a de-clip plug-in which got rid of the distortion but added some weirdness. Headphones if you got 'em.

Teletype triggering two voices of Just Friends. One knob controls X, or the number of steps through a pattern of notes each voice goes before starting the pattern over. Another knob controls Y, or the probability that the second voice will play a note outside of its usual pattern. Get it?
