A life with less.. 🚌💫
We didn’t always live this way. Several years ago we had planned to work full time and climb the corporate ladder. It came to a point where we realised we didn’t want to live our entire lives doing something we weren’t truly passionate about and we wanted change.
Now we are heading down a less logical route, where simple is good and the little things in life are more appreciated.
It’s means less financial security and being unsettled as we constantly move from place to place, but what we gain is the opportunity to do more of what we love. 🤍🎥
The sun set over the valley as we got the fire roaring. The cool air swept up the mountain, we felt the change as the evening stars began to show. 🌾

In this fast-paced world, there’s something to be said about rituals that acknowledge natural cycles and force us to slow down.
Fire has been a vital element of mankind’s survival for a very long time, and maybe that’s why we become so mesmerised by the glowing embers. Even when it gets a little too hot, I still appreciate it because it’s making me feel something. 🪵🔥
Add in cold temperatures, campfires draw people together creating a circle with nowhere else to be. 💭✨
It may be cold in the south but we’re making the most of every bit of sunshine. 🌞

This weekend we made basecamp at the foothills of the ranges to hike the goat trails, and get lost in the windy hills in search of nice views. 🌾

This month is going to look a little different to our usual days on the road. I’m (Tia) spending the month focusing on a yoga training in Bali while Jordy is in South Australia working on a building project. 🛠️
As much as we love good times on the road, we finally feel like we are finding our way with a bit more balance in our lives. So for now we’re taking on some other projects that excite us and re-spark our vanlife spirits for more adventures. ✨🚌

We camped out under the full moon to be greeted by first light on these desert peaks. The nights have been pretty cold and dry so we’ve been sleeping so well. Waking up slowly with our @kombicoffee_ and the most beautiful views, our first sip of coffee never tasted so good.. ✨🚌

Spending time in beautiful places ✨🌝
If you’ve lived or traveled in a van with a friend or loved one, you probably know it isn’t always easy spending so much time and space with one person. Like everyone, we have a lot of joyful moments but also some not so great times. 😅
When we see beautiful landscapes and soft coloured skies, it makes it all the challenges worth it. We feel grateful to often be out of service, connecting with nature on such a deep level. It reminds us to take a step back, look at the bigger picture and not sweat the small stuff. 💭
Driving through the iconic Ikara-Flinders Ranges NP is like taking a step back in time.. 🌄
The rugged mountain landscapes, peaceful gorges, abundant bird life and vast openness makes us feel like ancient places still exist in some corners of the world. 🌝💭
