In the countryside, where the children's maternal grandparents were located, the beats were made with sampling in two hours. Interestingly, the depth of the beat seems to have a greater influence on the inspiration and expression of the moment than any effort and sincerity. I didn't have a long time to worry or try, and the children took over my shoulders and knees, but I didn't get in the way of my work. It was a little disappointing that I couldn't focus on the children, but fortunately, the children also began to focus on their grandfather's turntable at some point. Sentimental music flowed from the old crumb vinyl and was recorded, cut, and cooked on the sp-404. After filming the drums with the whining child hanging on his right arm, it was snowing outside. I suddenly thought, "I should go out and film something right now." I had this urge, so I ran out with my iPhone and audio interface. Puppies, old country houses, roasted chestnut hats and snow dripped on the beat that started with old vinyl. It may not be a good video, but a satisfying video came out after a long time.
아이들의 외조부모가 있는 시골에서 두시간만에 샘플링으로 비트를 만들었다. 비트의 깊이라는 건 재밌게도 어떤 노력과 정성보다 순간의 영감과 표현이 더 많은 영향을 주는 것 같다. 고민이나 노력의 시간이 길지 않았고 아이들은 어깨와 무릎을 차지 하고 앉았지만 그것들이 나의 작업을 방해할 순 없었다. 아이들에게 조금 미안하긴 하지만 어느순간 아이들도 오래된 외할아버지의 턴테이블에 집중하기 시작했다. 오래되어 부스러기가 날리는 바이닐에서 감성에 푹 젖은 음악이 흘러나왔고 난 sp-404에 그것들을 녹음하고 자르고 요리했다. 오른팔에 아이를 매달고 드럼을 찍고나니 밖에는 눈이 내리고 있었다. 문득 '아 지금 나가서 뭐라도 찍어놔야겠다.' 라는 충동이 일어 아이폰과 오디오인터페이스를 부랴부랴 들고 나갔다. 강아지들과 오래된 시골집, 오래된 바이닐로부터 시작된 비트에 군밤장수 모자, 그리고 눈이 포슬포슬 내렸다. 훌륭히 촬영된 영상은 아니겠지만 오랜만에 만족스러운 영상을 얻었다.

My first impression of this synthesizer is very positive. It’s fun, creative, and stable. I was concerned about output issues, but there is no problem using it when inputting into the SP-404. I’m looking forward to creating lots of fun stuff with it.
