BEST DAY EVERRRRR! It’s been so long since I had a day of floral fun just for myself. Today was spent @pearllowe ‘s stunning Somerset home playing with the most gorgeous mix of flowers and foliage & being guided by the hugely talented Anna from @swallowsanddamsons This morning we took our time choosing blooms and designing a bountiful bowl of pure joy. I truly appreciate each bloom for its form, colour, texture and scent & was totally immersed in how they wanted to be together. LOVE the result. ❤️❤️ After a delicious lunch we got to nose around Pearl’s house, a feast of vintage, floral and avant garde. Foraging! Our definition of is to cut back our neighbours gardens. We also work with other gardeners who leave their beautiful branches on the drive for us to use before going to compost. These wonderful palms adorned the marquee at Tournerbury this weekend. 🌺Tropical wedding 🌴 Congratulations Hannah & Matthew! Thank you for trusting us to bring your wedding dreams to life. Hannah and her friends and family came to the studio to get all these fabulous plants ready for the day and make the tropical flower bouquets. Today we decorated Tournerbury, making an altar, lining the aisle with orchids that then doubled as table centres. We used Mahari lanterns on the tables and hung them from the foraged foliage canopy in the marquee. The top table was surrounded in the plants & we dotted more tropical flowers throughout. All the plants are going to new homes, making much less waste & of course spreading the foliage love! Love this? Well you know who to contact! ❓Did you know? It was National Florist Day this week? 🌸 I’ve been rather head down in being one but here is a snippet of my day today creating gorgeousness for a wedding. 🌿 I love bringing the outside inside, echoing the grounds in which we get to create. Most florists can’t pass a fallen branch without thinking ‘can I use that?’ 💁🏼‍♀️There’s also always a personal touch to the weddings I design for & this time the bride, her mum and the bridesmaids made all the table centres, their own bouquets and buttonholes in a fun workshop with me. ❤️ The part I love most about my job is seeing & helping others enjoy making designs that they never knew they could! 🤗 Us florists all have our own style but I really appreciate how we help each other too. It’s a florists thing!
