With his debut exhibition at Mazzoleni opening last week, discover more about the exhibition and Iran do Espírito Santo’s practice. “I chose the works for this show at Mazzoleni, trying to pick from different periods and using different materials, which are crystal, granite and stainless steel. Together with watercolours, that are recent works, that have a very close relationship to the sculptures, in the sense that they are all based on real objects and reproduce almost like technical drawings.” Visit ‘Iran do Espírito Santo’ at Mazzoleni, London until 6 September 2024. #mazzoleniart #irandoespíritosanto @estudioirandoespiritosanto Video credits: @floradeldebbio

We are proud to announce Rebecca Moccia's (@moccia_finora ) participation in the Italian Pavilion at the 15th edition of the Gwangju Biennale (@gwangjubiennale ). Produced by IIC Seoul @iicseoul , and supported by the Embassy of Italy in Korea ( @Italyinkorea_ ), the Bomun Welfare Foundation, and Mazzoleni, the Italian Pavilion is curated by Dr Soik Jung ( @soikjung ) and presents the work of Italian artist Rebecca Moccia. Unfolding once again in the spaces of the prestigious Dongok Art Museum in Gwangju ( @donggokart ), the exhibition titled “Ministries of Loneliness” will present a reflection and investigation on the structural, cultural, and social frameworks of loneliness. Consisting in two parts, the Pavilion will include both an archive of Moccia’s previous research in Italy, UK, Japan, Canada, and the United States, and a new production related to Korea, resulting from a participative research that the artist has conducted during a series of residencies in Seoul thanks to the partnership with the Seoul Institute of the Arts ( @seoularts.ac.kr ). Once again, the Italian Pavilion aims to enter in conversation with the main exhibition, this time curated by Nicolas Burriaud, by connecting with the central themes and leitmotiv of the Biennale. Additionally, the Italian Pavilion proves the ongoing commitment of the Italian Cultural Institute in Seoul, under the direction of Michela Linda Magri, to promote young and emerging Italian artists, offering them a possibility to explore new horizons abroad and connect with the Korean territory. The Italian Pavilion will be open to the public from September 8th to December 1st, 2024. — The Italian Pavilion is organised by IIC Seoul, Dong-gok Art Museum, and the Bomun Welfare Foundation; it is supported by the Embassy of Italy in Korea, The Bomun Welfare Foundation, and Mazzoleni, London - Torino. 💥 Turin is ready for @futur_festival and so are we!💥 Kappa FuturFestival is the biggest electronic music festival in Italy and @marinella.senatore is back this year to light up its nights. "What I have tried to do with this work is to create a space for us, for everyone, where we can let go, where we can reinvent ourselves and where music and dance, together with the energy of people's bodies, enhance this experience. For me, a stage has always been a social platform and therefore the perfect place to imagine a new idea of 'church' and transformative possibilities" says the artist. To illuminate the nights of the festival, Senatore has created a site-specific light sculpture to be displayed on The Kosmo stage, where the worlds of art, music and technology will come together. As Senatore's practice is characterised by a strong collective dimension, this collaboration with KFF will see Senatore unite festival goers through the mediums of art and music. #mazzoleniart #kappafuturfestival #thefutureisintorino

Open until 6 September, 'Iran do Espírito Santo' offers the chance to explore @estudioirandoespiritosanto_ !!re!!_039;s watercolour and sculptural works. Both the sculptures and watercolours move to reawaken us from our habitual indifference towards the everyday, instead communicating the beauty that can be found in the mechanics of human existence. 📍Mazzoleni, London #mazzoleniart #irandoespiritosanto Videography @floradeldebbio

“Together we stand” is a promise, a message and a beacon of hope. MARINELLA SENATORE. TOGETHER WE STAND 📍Museen Stade @museenstade KUNSTHAUS STADE 📆June 8th, 2024 to September 8th, 2024 @marinella.senatore 's solo exhibition offers a comprehensive view of her work, which she develops out of her projects: drawings of protest marches evoke historical moments, in which people stand up for their rights; colourful collages celebrate creative expressions of the body; films show her community projects; banners, which she develops from the tradition of religious processions and pageants, recall the need for solidarity without, however, perpetuating old doctrines; light installations invite people to join together. Art Basel Unlimited opens today for the VIP Preview, and we are delighted to welcome visitors to discover ‘Il trionfo di San Giorgio’ (1974) by the Italian artist Salvo. Standing over 2.5 metres high and nearly 8 metres long, this work, d'après Carpaccio, breathes new life and meaning into the classical iconography of the Christian hero defeating the dragon. Salvo uncovers a range of meanings and new values: a break from perceptible appearances towards a more contemplative vision, and the elimination of narrative excess in favour of a more rarefied atmosphere. 📌 Art Basel 2024 | Unlimited U54 Public Days: 13 – 16 June @artbasel #artbasel #mazzoleniart Photos by Mark Blower
