Save the date!🗓️ Join us on May 13 at Government House for the much-anticipated public opening of the Sterling Exhibition. 💍 Plus, catch the Canadian Student Silversmithing Exhibition for even more inspiration!
These exhibitions will be on display from May 13 to July 22.
We were very fortunate this week to have industry expert, Mark Sumner come and demonstrate how to accurately and safely cut a silicone mold! Mark has cut thousands of rubber and silicone molds for production manufacturers and jewellers, including himself. The molds that our students cut with Mark’s supervision will enable them to duplicate objects for production!

We are so proud to have participated in the unveiling of the trophy for the Brigitte Clavette award!
The Brigitte Clavette Award is presented by the Sheila Hugh Mackay Foundation at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design as a recognition of achievement in Graduate Studies but also as a lasting tribute to the exceptional contribution of artist and educator, Brigitte Clavette.
The trophy was designed and crafted by Aidan Stanley, a former student of Brigitte. Aidan is an artist and entrepreneur, running Queenstown Goldsmiths with his partner Erica Stanley.
Adorned with the names of previous winners, this beautiful installation will live in the halls of the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design, inspiring all who see it.
Jared Peters, Aidan Stanley, Brigitte Clavette, and Kathryn McCarroll

It’s only our first week of classes and our new students are already grasping the fundamentals of soldering and forging!
The utensils project is a favourite. Each student starts with a 2-gauge, 3-inch sterling silver rod and forms it into a beautiful utensil of choice. Final spoon glimpsed in image three done by 2nd year student De-Anne Sack!
