The last post for My ‘The Witch Trials’ project- a drowned witch for a Film/TV context. Set between the Salem & European Witch trials. 🧙🏼‍♀️ Thought this photograph that @joelychaplin took was super fun so I wanted to post- I think I’ll be setting up a new website soon with this picture so look out for that! :) I am so happy with how this turned out! Photography: @joelymaechaplin Costume designers: @zm_design_ @millidoodlez Model: @vulcan_fx Graphic designer: @niamhreynoldsdesigns I made two silicone swollen cheek prosthetics (squish moulds) as well as two swollen eye flat pieces. I then used alcohol paints and eyeshadow to colour this look. I used hair gel to achieve the hairstyle as well as grips. A Mock-up Film poster for My ‘The Witch Trials’ project- a drowned witch for a Film/TV context. Set between the Salem & European Witch trials. 🧙🏼‍♀️ The idea behind the title ‘Swimming A witch’: this was the concept name behind the drowning of a witch during a trial. They would do this to see if they would sink or float. If they sank they were innocent but often already dead, and if by some chance they ‘floated’ they would be killed regardless for participating in witchcraft. I am so happy with how this turned out! Practice application on Tuesday. Definitely was worth doing as I now have a list of improvements for the final shoot and feel more prepared :)!
