About the artist
Today we present the remix of the Stockholm-based Italian-born artist vesto comodo. The talented producer has extracted the essence of Nicolai Tomas' "Silent Depth", reinterpreted and injected it with his own style. Stream it now on all platforms or download it directly from our Bandcamp page.
Originally from a small beach town called Andora on the Italian Riviera, vesto comodo now works and acts in Stockholm. As a producer and live act, but also as senior electronics engineer at teenage engineering. He has released two solo EPs on the labels Gnistan Records (2023) and Bogoture Records (2022) and we are proud to have released two original tracks by him as well as a remix version of Assembler Code on the compilation Summer Restrictions Vol. 1 (2020).

Nicolai Toma returns to Subject To Restrictions Discs with “Phase Binder feat. Zorimira”, bringing flourishing organic waves of synth and acid gristle to the table. The Berlin producer is accompanied by his longtime friend vesto comodo from Stockholm who contributes a remix and Zorimira lends her voice and lyrics.
“Phase Binder feat. Zorimira” is more than a collection of tracks. It is a condensate of the musical spheres Nicolai Toma has been working on over the last few years. The corny beats are the foundation of all three tracks, whether it’s a downtempo chugger, an acid bomb or a pop-tinged house hit. In collaboration with singer Zorimira, Toma has used her voice and lyrics that sound like clever samples but are actually original recordings. Toma receives further support from the Swedish producer vesto comodo, who contributes his own version of one of the tracks in the form of a remix.
Nicolai Toma started his music career in his early teens DJing at clubs like the Weekend or Suicide Club in Berlin. He released his music on Labels such as International Records Recordings, Endless Flight, Mule Musiq and Subject To Restrictions Discs.

The rooms of the legendary Fri-Son in Fribourg are home to Ablette Records, a record shop run with passion by Vincent and Laura. The two are two active figures in the cultural life of the city and are involved in various projects. Ablette not only has a phenomenal and super interesting selection, but is also the only record shop we know of that has a dedicated „Subject To Restrictions Discs“ nook on its shelves. To be prominently presented in one of the most beautiful record shops makes us really proud - thank you Laura and Vincent!

About the artist
Joseph Tagliabue has made a name for himself by releasing crystal clear, but no less grounded electronic music that is as contemporary as it gets. While combining elements of ambient and trance with experimental electronic techniques, he’s able to blur genre-boundaries and offers refined, suggestive and always different emotions, without ever giving up his own musical identity. This can be heard in his releases for Sound Metaphors, Invisible Inc, Elephant Gait Music, Lustpoderosa and now on Subject To Restrictions Discs.
Tagliabue joins STRD on April 26 with his EP ‘Abisso’.
