Two days after the end of Pride Month and less than a week after First Lady Dr. Jill Biden hosted a celebration for the community, the Biden administration is being criticized by major allies, the @HumanRightsCampaign and @PFLAG National, for indicating that it supports limits on access to some forms of health care for transgender adolescents.
This reaction was prompted by a report from @19thNews , which highlighted a clarification from the White House stating that while it supports gender-affirming care for minors, surgeries should be limited to adults.
The administration’s stance represents a shift from its previously broad support for all forms of gender-affirming care. However, it remains unclear whether this public position by White House officials constitutes an actual policy change. Click the link in our bio to learn more.

@NikkiHiltz isn't just breaking records — they're breaking barriers.
The out transgender nonbinary runner qualified for the Paris Olympics on Sunday after completing the 1500-meter race at the U.S. Olympic Track and Field trials with a record time of 3 minutes and 55.33 seconds. Hiltz was in fourth place with 300 meters left before they suddenly accelerated past their competition.
“I told myself, I’m not going to think about all the love and support [I have] until 100 meters to go,’” they told reporters. “‘And then, at that moment, you can let it all fill you up and push you to the finish line.’" Click the link in our bio for more.

In the aftermath of recent Supreme Court decisions, same-sex couples are worried about their marriage rights, according to a new study by the Williams Institute at UCLA School of Law.
The survey found that 80 percent of married same-sex couples in the United States are concerned about the future of marriage equality. The political climate in the United States has become increasingly hostile towards LGBTQ+ rights, and many couples are taking proactive measures to protect their families.
Meanwhile, ultra-conservative Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has expressed a desire to revisit and potentially overturn landmark decisions on contraception, private consensual sex, and same-sex marriage. Click the link in our bio to learn more.

President Joe Biden has issued pardons to LGBTQ+ service members previously discharged for their sexual orientation or gender identity under discriminatory military policies, including “don’t ask, don’t tell,” marking a historic step in the protracted battle for equality within the U.S. armed forces.
“Today, I am righting a historic wrong by using my clemency authority to pardon many former service members who were convicted simply for being themselves,” Biden said in a statement.
