Makeup Masterpiece #1 : Cafe Terrace at Night ,Vincent Van Gogh, 1888 It took me a little bit to decide what artwork to start #MakeupMasterpieces with. Van Gogh is probably one of the most famous painters in the world and one of the most misunderstood ones at that. Many people know him for cutting off his own ear but not that this was the first signs of his illness. He had a kind of epilepsy that took the form of delusions and psychotic attacks. Despite his declining mental health he continued to create. A few fun facts about the painting: 1) Van Gogh never signed Café Terrace at Night. 2) Van Gogh's iconic Post-Impressionistic star-filled sky appears for the first time in his Café Terrace at Night. 3) The positions of the stars in the night sky of Café Terrace at Night is accurate, according to astronomical data.
