”Lawrence is a band I’ve worked with for years and consider some of my dearest friends, which was why helping create the photographs for the album art and assets was so special to me. When concepting the album art, Gracie and I were particularly drawn toward creating something that was more stylized, yet still felt true and authentic to the band. Shooting on film requires a level of trust between the photographer and the subjects, and in a way it forces everyone to focus on the act of taking the picture, not the after product. In particular I used CineStill 800T because of the way it captures light and color, which creates the feeling of experiencing a vivid dream or memory.” – Deanie Chen
“As a family band and as siblings, we love photos that bring out the feelings of warmth, nostalgia and childhood, so shooting on film felt like it lent itself to those themes really naturally. We liked this photo for the album cover because it felt like it had a lot of personality and was really memorable, which is what Deanie does best - she never shies away from capturing moments that feel comedic or a little messy, and we love that.” – Gracie and Clyde Lawrence
