“It always pays to dwell slowly on the beautiful things – the more beautiful the more slowly.” – Atticus
I’ve been slowly adding stitch to this earth pigment and soy milk piece taking my time to explore different threads and stitches, concentrating on their position and enjoying the process.
I was delighted to hear this week that one of my pieces from the
#outofthisearth course was included in the online student exhibition and I’ve continues to experiment and develop the skills and processes introduced by
@herquietmaterials in the
@fibreartstaketwo course.
Although this piece isn’t yet stretched I want to imagine it framed and hanging so used the
@artroomsapp to mock up. Often it helps me assess if the piece is complete and I can call it finished.
This one is ready for the next stage. Like much of my work it is inspired by landscape. I don’t know what I shall call it yet. Like the stitching this can often take me time to find the right title.
Let me know what title you would give it.
