Be entertaining. 1. Cohesive routine that makes sense 2. Fits the dancers skills 3. Transitions and uses the stage 4. PERFORM Do that and you’ll succeed tenfold. #dancetipsandtricks

Competition judging and the reality, we’re not perfect, no one’s perfect. Focus on good dancing & improving YOUR kills because at the end of the day no one’s paying you to be on stage… Good dancing will take you way farther than all of the hacks and best practices that judges, myself included, talk about. #dancejudge #dancetipsandtricks

People will ALWAYS have something to say and it can be hard to block out that noise sometimes. Given most of us are at nationals…thought I’d touch on this for a moment. Dance is INCREDIBLE. It’s the greatest thing on the planet in my opinion…BUT it’s also been monetized. I know this because I’ve been a part of it, I myself make money off of my art. The key is remembering that other people “liking” YOUR art doesn’t have anything to do with you as a human. #dancetipsandtricks #digitalmentor

Let’s talk MUSIC. Here’s a few dos and donts as well as a pro tip. Don’t be afraid to look back the first song you hear from an artist. Overusing a song is a big no no. #dancejudge #dancestudio #danceteacher
