Ironically there’s no better word to describe yesterday than PROUD. Proud to be marching with @stonewalluk , proud to be surrounded by thousands of our queer family (and to feel the love too), but most of all proud to be walking with @aislingo . The person with so many roles in my life, most importantly my best friend. Thank you for linking me, literally and metaphorically, through life. Exciting times ahead. I love you mate.
What a pre pride treat to be on the 2024 Pride Power List. Thank you so much! I’m so proud to be a part of the LGBTQIA+ community and I will never stop supporting all members of our queer family. I will also never stop shouting about how much of a MASSIVE LESBIAN I am. Boobs are great.
You can take the girl out of Yorkshire, but…she’ll still come back to Yorkshire and dip her whole head into the North Sea at the first glimpse of sunshine. Filey, you beaut.
Thank you for the lovely birthday wishes. I had the best day. I drank champagne, I read an entire book in one sitting and I burnt my face to shit. 10/10.
My first non fiction book for children is out TODAY with incredible illustrations by the hugely talented @hwillustrator ! Moving On Up is so special to me, and I hope it helps kids navigate through the complicated journey of growing up. Think of me like a big sister, teaching you stuff through the mistakes I made, from making friends to changing schools to feeling different to starting your period. Seriously, the section on periods is my proudest achievement yet. I genuinely think that this book can be enjoyed whatever your age, so pick yourself up a copy NOW!
