Talking and shooting @mattbomer (!!) and VIP streetstyle for @giorgioarmani at Milan Fashion Week
In the beginning of my photog career I always wondered and second guessed how to interact with my subjects, specially when most of the times I’m shooting without people’s consent, to capture the candor and spontaneity. Shooting like an observer. Later I realized that spontaneity can also come without having to “steal” photos from people, that candor can also come from how you interact with the subjects, and how you make them feel. Comfortable and safe to be themselves or in the lucky days, have them explore even other versions of themselves in front of my lens. On given circumstances I won’t even say anything and manage to create a connection with a subject just though looks or body language, which is always so special.
In this rushy environment though, which was the door of one of the most awaited shows of the season, I had to be very quick and decisive and there was not much room for talk. I did manage to save some moments of ‘walk for me please?’ ‘go!’ ‘stop’ ‘again’ ‘from this side to this side!’ ‘please?’ but safe to say that’s all that was needed for this job. :)
