I am so over all these crazy filters. I have 3 nieces and to know that they are growing up in a world where the discourse of beauty from social media is not always genuinely real, rather than that of filters, gives me major anxiety that they will never truly love themselves for their natural beautiful selves, and rather compare themselves to a beauty that is unattainable. I too have been guilty of using an occasional filter to plump my lips and hide the bags under my eyes, but these filters have gotten out of control and I just hope we can all go back to being real…bc at the end of the day I think that is what brings true happiness: self love and knowing your real beauty within. ❤️ (disclaimer: I am wearing a tiny bit of makeup in the filter photo and zero makeup in the photo on right)
