Ep 23 - Tiffin Ideas - Moong dal, Paneer & Veggies waffles with Jamun.
Power packed healthy tiffin for school today. Not only for kids but even we can even have these super tasty waffles 😊
Ingredients for waffles -
🔹Moong dal - 1 cup (soaked for 4 hours)
🔹Paneer - 3/4th cup
🔹Veggies of choice - 1/2 cup (finely chopped)
🔹Salt - as per taste
🔹Ginger and green chilli
🔹Saunf - 1 tsp
🔹Hing - 1/8th tsp
🔹Salt - as per taste
🔹Besan - 2 tbsp (only if batter is runny)
🔹Red chilli powder - optional
🔹Cumin powder - 1 tsp
🔹Fruit salt - 1 tsp (ENO)
🔹Curd - 1/4th cup
🔹Water to grind - only if needed.
🔹Oil/Butter to make waffles.
Instructions -
🔹Soak Moong dal for 3 to 4 hours. Once that's done, wash it nicely and add it to a mixer jar with paneer, green chilli, ginger, curd, hing, salt and saunf and make a fine paste.
🔹To this prepared dal batter add chopped veggies, salt, red chilli powder, cumin powder, ENO, besan and fresh coriander leaves. If you are making chilla, no need to add ENO
🔹Lightly brush the waffle maker with oi/butterl and add 2 tbsp of the batter and cook until it turns slightly brown or crispy. Once done serve it with green chutney or sauce.
