@jeanpaulgaultier show was a display of creativity and artistry. The codes of the house were reinterpreted and modernized to meet today’s bold and elegant woman. The collection featured see-through pieces, deconstructed suits, architectural dresses, and bodycon silhouettes in leather, silk, taffeta, and even plastic fabrics. It honored the artistic codes of the house while incorporating structural constructions, a trait reminiscent of Courrèges.
If anyone could reimagine suits within couture, it’s
@ThomBrowne . Here, we see suited silhouettes in capes; off-the-shoulder coats; and asymmetrical add-ons. Most pieces were of a light, cream muslin fabric, combined with crushed and deconstructed finishes across knits, tweeds, and furs.
This season,
@GiambattistaValli ’s floral symbolism felt more abstract and carefree, with flowers resembling fallen petals floating off the bust, in contrast to January’s bouquet-inspired gowns that imitated tightly packed roses.
At
@Dior , models looked sleek with wet-combed hair and light, draped jersey gowns. These, as well as fitted racer-style and loose boat neck silhouettes with metal finishes are all inspired by the people of Olympus and the house’s previous exploration of the Greek peplos garment.
