@get__repost__app This weekend I competed in my 3rd bodybuilding show, hoping that I could earn a top placement. I'm thrilled to have won 1st in my class, 1st in the open division, and Overall Bikini! I'm so beyond grateful for the guidance of Coach -
@dezrashadthomas - who kicked my ass these last 6 months and made sure there would be no question of who should win for the judges. Shoutout to my hubby for going through this prep with me, while also prepping for his first show (which he CRUSHED!), but always made sure our meal planning was done and balancing me when I was too hangry. Also special credit to my sister Brittney for being the best Nene so Amara could have fun while mommy and daddy worked out all year.
I spent the last 3 years training for an Overall Win, and it still feels surreal that I achieved my goal. I'm honored beyond belief to be able to do this sport, with the unending love and support from my village ( Monica Davis Smith, Sarah Brister, Victoria Childress, Savannah Ylisabeth, Jaime Leigh). Victoria drove so far and for so long just to see me on stage, talk about incredible friends! All these ladies have made me feel strong, beautiful, and seen as my training evolved. They kept me grounded and grateful, I can't wait to celebrate this achievement with my tribe! Thank you all for believing in me, putting up with my endless skipping of fun to workout, and letting me bring tupperware all over ❤️
