What a euphoric month it has been... My solo exhibition 'Idyllic Space' is now open at my home city contemporary museum the @highmuseumofart . From now until December 1st. I don't have words to describe how this feels 🫀 Thank you to curators @mmmmkelly @honoguy for ushering this into existence. Berlin! I'm thrilled to share news of my upcoming solo museum show 'Wish This Was Real' taking place at @coberlin and being co-curated by @brendanembser and @sophiagreiff The exhibition brings together nearly 10 years of my work in photography and video. Much of it never before exhibited. And it will include a special display that explores ideas of lineage and history featuring artworks by Rashid Johnson, Grace Wales Bonner, Garrett Bradley, Baldwin Lee, Gordon Parks, Carrie Mae Weems and many more. I'm nearly speechless... I grew up dissecting the Criterion Collection section at the Barnes & Noble back home in Atlanta every weekend with my dad. It made me who I am today.
