I am extremely honored to be the recipient of the Mondrian Prize 2024, an invitation to carry out a research project in collaboration with other artists and scholars during a nine month residency in Laren, the very village where Piet Mondrian and his friends invented the De Stjil movement. Between April 1 and December 15, 2024, I will organize a series of workshops around the question of metropolitan nature in which I will involve, among others, Jeanne Gang, Béatrice Grenier, Wang Shu and Lu Wenyu, Formafantasma, Alice Bucknell, Stefano Mancuso, Fabien Siouffi, and Frédérique Aït Touati. In this place that played a seminal role in the elaboration of artistic modernism I will organize together with Béatrice Grenier a series of conversations (the Laren Dialogues) around the idea of modernity that will take place inside Piet Mondrian's former studio. I am grateful to Siebe Tettero, Amy Stenvert, Maarten Rutgers; Alexandra van Doorne, Rob Franken, Tracey Ryans and the selection committee with Beatrix Ruf, Elvira Dyangani Ose and Ippolito Pestellini Laparelli. @themondrianinitiative #themondrianinitiative #themondrianprize

Every dress is a museum: the smallest and most comfortable, the one we use to make ourselves visible. Every dress is an exhibition: when we dress up, each of us is the content and the curator of this exhibition. And it is thanks to these tiny walking museums that cities become open-air exhibitions without walls and without the possibility of separating one work from another. The exhibition "The Many Lives of a Garment", which will be on show at the ITS Arcademy - Museum of Art in Fashion from 28 March 2024 to 6 January 2025, seeks to reflect on this paradox. Olivier Saillard did me the honour of asking me to help him curate the exhibition. I am very grateful to him for this immense gift. To work and dialogue with him was a true initiation into the deeper meaning of fashion and clothing. And I thank the ITS Academy, Barbara Franchin, the director, and Michele de Facchinetti, Alessia Turco, Rosa Fasan and the whole team for the wonderful months of collaboration.

In his new book, Philosophy of the Home, Emanuele Coccia shows how the architecture of home has shaped—and continues to shape—our psyches and our societies, before leading us towards a more creative, ecological way of dwelling in the world. At The World Around Summit this weekend, Coccia will discuss his search for new ways of living together, positing questions and exploring ideas about how architecture and design influences domesticity, and vice versa, as part of a presentation titled Homes: How to Design Our Moral Topography. Coccia is an associate professor at the EHESS in Paris, and has had roles as a visiting professor at the universities of Tokyo, Buenos Aires, Düsseldorf, Columbia and Harvard. He previously authored The Life of Plants (2018) and Metamorphoses (2021)—both of which examine biological phenomena and what they can teach us about the world we inhabit. The World Around Summit will take place on Saturday May 11, 2024, and is hosted at the Solomon R Guggenheim Museum (@guggenheim ) in New York. Tickets to attend the all-day event are sold out, but you can be added to the waitlist by joining our membership Circles or register to watch the livestream for free via our link in bio. #TWA2024 #TWASummit2024 #Guggenheim #EmanueleCoccia #PhilosophyOfTheHome

I am very honored to be able to moderate the dialogue between Beatrice Grenier and Gui Trotti today as part of the program "OPPOSITES UNITED: INTERSECTIONS BEYOND BOUNDARIES" organized by KIA and ZERO for Design Week in Milan at the Museo della Permanente (18.00) Space and Earthling In what ways can we think of art as something that might exist on other planets? And how is terrestrial art perceived from an extraterrestrial point of view? What is the relationship between art and planet Earth, beyond the often simple equations that ecology seems to formulate? Guillermo Trotti has designed buildings, environments and accessories dedicated to human life on the Moon and Mars. His works can be found in museum collections. Béatrice Grenier has been thinking and writing for years about the fact that it is always architecture that allows art to exist in space, to take root in the urban and non-urban landscape. Both of them reflects on which may be a vanguard in culture, and which risks have to be taken into account. By inviting them to confront each other, I want to invite them to reflect, from opposing points of view, on the relationship between art and the planet – whichever one it may be.
