@unicamens ) to read from his book 𝘗𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘰𝘱𝘩𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘏𝘰𝘮𝘦: 𝘋𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘚𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘏𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴, on the occasion of its recent release in the English language. Following the reading, Coccia will be in conversation with Jing Liu, co-founder of the architecture firm

Emanuele Coccia is an Italian author, philosopher, and lecturer at EHESS, the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences in Paris. His writing includes 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘴: 𝘈 𝘔𝘦𝘵𝘢𝘱𝘩𝘺𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘔𝘪𝘹𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦, 𝘔𝘦𝘵𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘴, 𝘎𝘰𝘰𝘥𝘴: 𝘈𝘥𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘜𝘳𝘣𝘢𝘯 𝘚𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘓𝘢𝘸 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘐𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘦, and 𝘚𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘓𝘪𝘧𝘦: 𝘈 𝘔𝘪𝘤𝘳𝘰-𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘐𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘦. He is currently working alongside
@alessandro_michele , Creative Director of Valentino, on a publication that explores the relationships between fashion and philosophy. Coccia is the recipient of the Mondrian Prize 2024 (
@themondrianinitiative ), for which he invited architects, artists, curators, and designers to a project on “metropolitan nature.”
