Meet Centrepeace Counselling & Therapy Services, a #lgbtq owned #counselling and #therapy space in London, ON and providing services Ontario-wide virtually. Centrepeace is a small private group therapy practice for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and allies. At Centrepeace, we believe that the counselling relationship is key to making positive changes during the therapy process. We work to establish a #connected , #compassionate and #collaborative relationship with our clients. Centrepeace was founded by Pamela Bailey in February ‘21. Pamela (she/they - pictured) is a queer social worker with many years experience in the field. As a part-time private practitioner since ‘19, she found that folks from the 2SLGBTQIA+ community were naturally seeking her out. She quickly realized her #passion for this work and the need for #affirmingcare in the #community . The Centrepeace team offers #traumainformed , #genderaffirming care to #youth ages 10-20, #adults , #caregivers and #families . Most of the therapists on the team are from the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. We see folks dealing with issues such as relationship & communication struggles, symptoms of depression & anxiety, ADHD-related problems, low self-esteem, balancing emotions & mood, discrimination & minority stress, religious trauma, childhood trauma, and a variety of family problems. We also support folks with identity exploration and navigating non-monogamous relationships. We are currently accepting new clients. To support folks in deciding if we’re a good fit for them, we offer a free 15-minute phone consultation.
