It’s frustrating that a player like Murphy is keeping youth out of the squad!
50% of Murphs 16 touches were turnovers…. He’s giving the ball to the Oppo in our fwd 1/2 more than he hands off to his teammates. How the Forward team review on a Monday looks at his performance every week and he gets a start the next week is beyond me… what’s the role he is supposed to be playing?… miss simple set shots from 25m to kill momentum,burn the ball 1/2 the time, kick to disadvantage wherever possible? Sure he can tackle (2-3x / game), but how often is that because he is being led to the ball ?
