3 years after, I am back again to the same flat, for the same show.
3 years ago, this show went very bad for me, obviously as you can see, the condition was too much for the division, the upper body was too wide for the division, the posing needed improvement. After this show, we decided to add Hiit, to stop training most of the body parts except Glutes, and add Ice-Cream every evening to soften the shape for Alicante Europa Pro 4 weeks later : where I won my first Olympia qualification.
Versus this morning fasted Check-in, 3 years after (57,2kg this am, so around 2/3kg more than the picture on the left).
This sport is all about changing, adapting, re-doing, un-doing, and you have to get a really stubborn temper to hold on and to keep going. At that point, I don't even want to know in which of all the shapes I had I felt the best inside my shoes, cause I will not be able to answer anymore.
I am listening to the feedbacks, trying to change what needs to be changed, and what is possible to be changed in the near future + far future.
This is supposed to be my last show of the season, cause I also need to reward my body which has been a great partner, the best partner I could hope for, since September when we started to drop some weight.
My contests' prep started 1st January but I have been cutting since September, so 10 months.
We don't win everytime, particularly when the gap between your tastes and the criterions makes you hanging around as a yo-yo. But I don't regret any of my decisions, they were done for a reason, and they are all part of my life and who I was/I am.
I feel in peace, so a win or a loss at that point will just be a learning 🫶🏼
