♀️ Our project TB Apartment has been selected for an outstanding recognition by the Anna Taddei Prize, an Italian architecture and industrial design award whose goal is to enhance the projects and professional paths of women architects, promoting recognition of their role in society and gender equality within the profession.
🏰 The interior design project for TB Apartment in Vigo di Ton (TN) preserves and energetically upgrades an ancient mansion, built by the Thun family.
The living area is located on the ground floor while the sleeping area is on the first one; a spiral staircase integrates the sofas which are set on stages inspired by castles’ walkways. The dark gray furnishings evokes the colour of the parts blackened by the fires, discovered during the restoration phase.
The design enhances the mansion’s history, windows, beams and fireplace with coat of arms.
🎤 Here the reasons for this mention: "The renovation of a historic mansion, was appreciated by the Jury for its expressive force where the enhancement of the traits of the existing building is the result of a high ability to manage a chromatic and figurative balance between the elements of furniture and those of the architectural structure. A mature professional figure emerges, capable of controlling the elements of the interior design, integrating the technical and structural aspects, combining a language respectful of history with the rigour and essentiality of the contemporary approach also through the use of custom made furniture elements."
