If you enter the Royal Academy summer exhibition, you’re FAR more likely not to make it in than you are. 16,000 entries whittled down to 1.5k - it’s funny! It’s like a lottery! REJECTS is a show for the talent who didn’t make it in to showcase themselves while having a bit of a giggle about it. Art that takes itself too seriously must be boring AF to make and sell. So we’re all here to have a nice little show over the summer. Celebrating being rejected from the lottery of life.

The development of Craig Keenans room at 69 Evering Road! So much work and love has gone into turning this house into an art gallery. Craig has painted the room floor to ceiling in his Cyaotype blue and has screen printed on the wall. This truly immersive room washes over you with a feeling of calm! If you want to experience it you still 2 days to swing by today (16th) 5.30-8pm or tomorrow 2 - 5pm! Who’s coming?

This little number is something I’ve been working on for months! (I’ve included a little sketch I made back in Jan) I like the idea of a monochromatic rainbow. Seems somewhat oxymoronic… Also this piece is a nice little mix of photographic and illustrative, combining iPad and real life drawing onto the negatives.

This is a picture of me and Jake. You can only really see one person here. But there is in fact two of us. Me holding the camera. And him stood the other side of phone box wearing a hat and posing like he was taking the picture!
He suggested and posed this picture. I remember thinking how silly it was that no one would see there was two people in it if we held such similar stances. But he loved that. The idea that there’s more going on than anyone could ever realise or even figure out if they looked hard enough. He had a real special brain. And I f**king loved it.

Well hello there! How’s it going? “Housewarming” is officially up and running! Thanks to everyone who came to check it out at the PV 💙 if you’re not in the know, I painted a room COMPLETELY blue. Floor to ceiling. It’s a bit weird but quite impactful I think. People seemed to like it. The only trouble is it doesn’t photograph well! That much dark blue sucks all the light out of it! You’ll have to come and see it for yourself to get the hit of the whole fruit! It’s only up for two weeks. And I’ve got some brand new work showing. Link for tickets in my bio 💙🩵💙🩵💙🩵

Oh hello you! 💙 just thought I’d share a little more of my process! I spend an awful lot of time my head in the clouds. Photographing them at any opportunity I get! From my garden in London, or when I’m home in Devon, or anytime I’m on holiday. Lately I’ve been drawing all over these on an iPad which is SUPER fun! And then I’ve been mashing them together on photoshop to make those massive compositions I’ve been posting lately. Here’s some before and afters. Fun to be working with colour. Might try and bring some of that back into the blueprints. 🤔🩵💙
