Jolly Crispy Breaded Garlic Mushrooms
1-2 cans 400g Whole Mushrooms
1 cup all purpose flour
2 large eggs
1 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp dried parsley
1/2 tsp fine sea salt
1/4 tsp pepper
Oil
Garlic Mayo dip
1 cup mayo
1 glove garlic minced
1/2 tbsp choped chives or dried parsley (optional)
1. Drain the mushrooms and leave to dry for a few mins. ( just until the mushroom is dry to touch).
2. Turn on the deep fryer to high.
3. Place the flour in a small bowl. Whisk together the eggs in another small bowl.
4. Place the breadcrumbs in another bowl and add 1/2 tsp of garlic powder, 1/2 tsp of dried parsley, 1/2 tsp of fine salt and 1/4 cracked black pepper. Mix it all together.
5. Start by dipping one mushroom in the flour, then dip it in the whisked egg. Finally dip the mushroom in the breadcrumbs. Making sure the mushroom is completely covered in breadcrumbs.
6. Place the mushroom on a place then repeat with the rest of the mushrooms.
7. Once the deep fryer is at the right temperature drop the mushrooms into the fryer.
8. Cook until golden brown. Once cooked carefully transfer the mushrooms to a large plate lined with paper towel.
9. Repeat until you have cooked all the mushrooms. Leave it cool slightly before serving with the garlic and chives or parsley.
Garlic Mayo Dip
Add the mayonnaise to a bowl.
Stir in the garlic and chopped chives or parsley
Leave in the fridge until you are ready to use it.
