Just had a wonderful weekend, my first visit to Lymington in Hampshire to drop off a brand new collection of paintings that I created especially for @coastalgallerylymington and headed for display at @palaisdesvaches which has to be the best name ever ! I am very proud of this collection; one painting in particular On The Cusp sums up life ... if you are nearby and you happen to visit please let me know what you think. @janewisonartist Jane originally studied printed textile design and spent many years in the fashion industry before becoming a full time artist. Her vibrant, joyful, multi-layered paintings currently explore the concept of interconnectivity from a unique perspective. Her inspiration comes from living in the South West and it’s coast, landscape, flora and fauna. She has exhibited widely in the UK and recently had work accepted for The Royal Society of British Artists 2023 Bicentenary Exhibition, The Society of Wildlife Artists Natural Eye 2022 and 2023 exhibitions and was the winner of The Dry Red Press Award at The Royal Watercolour Society’s 2022 Exhibition. So today was mostly creating collage papers for a floral series I'm working on... I get so many questions about my process I thought I'd show you how I start... messily! The papers get painted over, drawn into, printed and so this is just the initial 'getting something down' part. I'm into my #neocolor at the moment... scribbly is good! Hiya, hope you've got sunshine wherever you are. It's gorgeous down here, finally! Slowly getting back into the groove of things after an extremely busy few weeks. @sussexartfair followed by a mini break in Oxfordshire with the dogs, relaxing but a long drive! Another long drive this weekend too, up to London as my daughter Gracie is competing in @ridelondon on Sunday with her friend Freya. They are cycling 100miles to raise money for @rapecrisisew , I'll put a link in my story if you'd like to donate. ‌ This week is all about prepping boards, making collage papers and planning... a new collection is on the way!!! ‌ Here is a little montage of some of the pieces that were rehomed last week. Thank you to anyone who has rehomed a piece (or two!) I'm thrilled you like my work 😊 ‌ ‌

This says it all. What a weekend; I am profoundly grateful to @sussexartfair @goodwood_races for hosting such tremendous couple of days. You even provided sunshine! Meeting up with my gorgeous artist friends and making new ones!
