Part of a mural I painted in Stuttgart Arkansas for #Arkanvas curated by @justkidsoffial for @ozartnwa with @unexpectedfs ,so proud to be in the line up along side @ninachanel @steveespopowers @camillewalala @lakwena @dabsmyla @annevieux @robertmontgomeryghost @poni @alexis_diaz and @mantrarea . The wall measures the entire block and measures 149 feet long by 40 feet high. It took thirteen days to complete was only possible with the help of @mavvu4 @bobby_lee_jones_jr @blahemian @artbyjessicajones and @tigersasha A mural in Stuttgart, Arkansas. The Mural uses desaturated pink and yellow pastel colors to give it a warm inviting feel. It is centered around friends and individuals on a journey both together and separately. The animals symbolize nature in its balance chaos and tranquility. There is a spectrum of animals with different temperaments to emphasize this. The sentences making up the boarders are inspired by old western sayings. This creates abstract poetry about our individual and our collective journey through life. The Title 'We are us together' its a proverb that is fundamentally sums up heart of South African and collectivist beliefs.

This mural is titled “life is a dream and dreams are dreams” painted in the Kichwa Tunibamba community of Bellavista, in the Cotacachi canton, Sierra northern Ecuador. The writing “La vida es sueño, y los sueños, sueños son” that translates to life is a dream and dreams are dreams. This is in reference to Pedro Calderón de la Barca poem “Life is a dream” . This mural was painted for @nuevomural unibamba Hacienda: At dawn on June 21, 1982, the community members of Tunibamba de Bellavista in the Cotacachi canton took over the Tunibamba Hacienda, which at that time legally belonged to Mrs. Virginia Rodríguez Dávila, widow of Jaramillo, the sole owner of 123 hectares of land, 60 of which were forests. and 63 of arable land under irrigation, where the community members were laborers; The objective was the recover the land taken from the ancestors more than 500 years ago by the Spanish colonizers; eliminate poverty and malnutrition in the community; rescue and keep alive the Kichwa cultural identity; revive community life and work at the service of the people; and, train community members about community life and organization based on the legitimate possession of the ex-Tunibamba hacienda community land. The community resisted 12 years of paramilitary attacks and injustices by Ecuadorian state institutions; in 1991 the National Congress expropriated the Hacienda Tunibamba, but it was not until 1994, after a second occupation occurred in December 1993, that the Ecuadorian Institute of Agrarian Reform and Colonization IERAC would award the land to the community. #Ad I recently did the @balconesdistilling Artist in Residence at @theotherartfair #Brooklyn . The Balcones Artist in Residence is a new initiative formed to empower artists to transcend traditional studios and create artwork that showcases their interpretation of bold, free-thinking, reinvention, and embracing the magnetic sense of creative possibility that comes from expressing your full self. The mural installation and ceramic used refined shapes balanced with sharp and rounded symbols of nature, emanating a dreamlike homage to the volatile Texas climate where Balcones whisky is made. BALCONES. Distilled and bottled by Balcones Distilling Waco, TX. Please drink responsibly. Don’t share with anyone under 21.

A mural for @cvtastreetfest Titled “Every time a door closes a bigger door opens”. This phrase is about allowing one ending to be and opportunity for a new beginning. The phrase is an Italian saying written in the Civita dialect, as a way to pay tribute to the people and community. There are many vases and tea pots painted on this mural all in reference to the local craft and pottery. They also speak to the somewhat delicate nature of life and these objects yet they, like knowledge can be passed on for countless generations with care. In the centre of the mural is a couple embracing each other. On either side of them is a door. This shows that to find each other, old doors had to be closed and new ones opened. On either side of the mural there are ambiguous versions of this couple in phases of their relationship. This works as a metaphor to how love is a cycle and how through love you are linking to all of your ancestors who once loved. The pattern of grandmothers in a repeated pattern shows the passing of knowledge and love to each generation through the symbol of them blowing a kiss or knocking on a door.
