#Omakase 🍶A very special preview dinner at @takumayfair Japanese Michelin-starred omakase in Mayfair with IWA5 hosted by @richard.geoffroy , ex Chef de Cave (cellar master) at DomPérignon, bringing 28 years of expertise from the Maison. The bottle is designed by one of my favourite designers Marc Newson who was also a special guest for the evening. IWA5 (the acronym stands for “rock” with 5 elements involved in its creation) blending rice from three varieties, Yamada Nishiki, Omachi, and Gohyakumangoku, five strains of yeast and the regimes of fermentation. The first assemblage was bottled in 2021 with the fifth assemblage now in distribution.
