Hey fellow Filipinos, let’s talk breakfast vibes! Picture this: Tocino dipped in vinegar, with a side of Sinangag and sunny-side-up eggs. And here’s the kicker: that rice? Cooked up right in the same pan where the tocino sizzled, topped off with some crispy fried garlic for extra oomph. Who says tocino is just for breakfast? It’s an all-day Filipino fave, bringing those tasty vibes anytime, anywhere! #Tocino #Tosilog #Sinangag #SunnySideUp #Eggs #Pork #Breakfast #mamayum

Tonkatsu, a beloved Japanese dish, features breaded and deep-fried pork chops that are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The pork is typically coated in flour, dipped in beaten egg, and then covered with panko breadcrumbs before frying. To streamline the cooking process and minimize cleanup, I used the same container for the dredging mixture, saving energy and reducing the number of dishes to wash later on. #tonkatsu #pork #recipe #mamayum

One of my kids’ favorites! How about trying these epic Deep-Fried Meatballs stuffed with gooey cheese and savory ham? They’re a flavor explosion waiting to happen! To whip these up, grab some ground chicken (or switch it up with pork or beef). Marinate those meaty orbs in a mix of calamansi (for that zesty kick), salt, and pepper for about 30 minutes. Then, stuff ‘em with cubes of cheese and thin slices of ham. Can you say yum? Next up, get your dredging station nice and ready. Roll those stuffed balls in flour, dunk them in beaten egg, and coat them generously with crunchy Panko breadcrumbs. It’s about to get crispy up from here! Heat up some oil and deep-fry those bad boys until they’re beautifully golden brown and screaming “eat me!” And let’s not forget the creamy sauce. Melt some butter, pour in a splash of cream, and season it up with a pinch of salt and pepper. Boom! Sauce done. Serve these munchies hot with that creamy dip on the side. Your taste buds will thank you! PRO TIP: Keep a stash of these munchies in your freezer for an easy-to-whip-up dinner on those busy nights. #mamayum #meatballs #chicken #recipe #deepfried #filipinofood

Sinigang or popularly known as the Philippines’ Sour Soup was crowned as the BEST SOUP IN THE WORLD by Taste Atlas in 2021. But did you know that Sinigang is also mentioned in one of the books used by Junior High Schools in Japan? One of my takes on a modern twist to Sinigang is adding Coconut Milk! Get ready to have your taste buds blown away! #sinigang #mamayum #coconutmilk #recipe #pork #filipinofood

Late lunch BBQ Picnic with my mom friends and our kids! We chowed down on Plum Onigiri, Kimchi, Green Onion with Canned tuna salad (with Japanese Mayo, yum!), Grilled Salmon Belly, and Pork BBQ. And let’s not forget the amazing Broccoli Egg Salad with Shrimps! Seriously, my mom friends are unbelievably good in prepping salad. That Green Onion with Canned Tuna combo? Mind-blowing! It was my first time to try it and now I’m hooked!!! #salad #bbq #picnic #japanesemayo #kimchi #recipe #mamayum

Baked Sushi Rice, or Sushi Bake as it’s known in the Philippines, has become a total sensation in our kitchen! It is usually topped with diced cucumbers and mangoes to balance out the savory flavors with a hint of sweetness. Now, my husband Seiji, who’s Japanese through and through, hasn’t quite hopped on the bandwagon yet—even when I skip the mayo (not his thing!). It’s funny how tastes can vary so much, right? But you know who absolutely adores it? Our half-Japanese kiddos! They dig into it with gusto, enjoying this quirky fusion of flavors that reflects our family’s blend of cultures. So yeah, while Seiji might stick to his traditional Japanese dishes, we’re happily mixing it up with this Filipino twist on sushi. It’s all about finding that delicious balance at the dinner table! #SushiBake #Recipe #Rice #Salmon #mamayum

One of my easy and favorite go-to recipes is this Pan Grilled Pork Belly BBQ marinated for a few minutes in tangy BBQ sauce. It’s such a simple yet flavorful way to prep leftover samgyup pork! I love to pair it with a hearty Chop Suey made with a medley vegetables from my fridge — like crunchy Bell Peppers, tender Broccoli, crisp Cabbage, Carrots, and the subtle sweetness of Sayote. So easy peasy to whip up any time of day! #bbq #chopsuey #recipe #mamayum

Pancit Canton uses wheat flour noodles but in this video, I used Yakisoba noodles that has the same crunch with Canton noodles. It is usually served in Pinoy handaan (Filipino celebration) like birthdays, weddings, and fiesta! I like my canton with the taste of chicken liver! Have you tried this? #pancit #canton #pancitcanton #noodles #recipe #mamayum #filipinofood

Cover the pan for 3-5 minutes. 2. Add the Potatoes and Garlic to the pan. 3. Pour in Sake (Japanese Rice Wine), Rice Vinegar, Light Soy Sauce, and Sugar. 4.
