Tomorrow 6/29 in BEREA! I’m honored to join Hubby Jenkins on the @rebelrebelberea stage. Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist and former member of the Carolina Chocolate Drops and the Rhiannon Giddens band, Hubby has been sharing his deep knowledge of old-time music and African American history at the Cowan Creek Mountain Music School all this week. He’s a true inspiration and an amazing player. Dear Andie @dearandieband open the night with sweet harmonies. Doors at 6, music at 7:30! Kentucky fills my cup every time, and I’m grateful! Pretty unreal and visionary evening playing on the Washington Heights rooftop of @theodor.gabriel last night! Grateful for old friends with walkup apartments, ball jars of whiskey, and summer thunderstorms. What an adventure. I’d love to play New York more often- drop me a note if you’d like to put something together? My heart is full and I am so sleepy. Excited to kick-off this firefly season tour in style.
