If you’re getting into the walking/hiking game, then you need to check out Ellis Brook Valley Reserve! Located just over 30 minutes from the CBD, this popular walking trail really ticks all the boxes, consisting of 4 walking trails with varying degrees of difficulty. Covering the full walking distance of just over a two kilometres should only take around an hour. Make sure you come prepared if you plan on tackling the full trail, some of the paths are pretty rocky and uneven, so wear appropriate shoes, bring water and sunscreen. The best time of year to go is after some good winter rains as that’s when the waterfalls will be at their biggest, however for wildflower enthusiasts spring is generally the best time. Bridgetown is always a must-visit destination for us, but when the temperature drops, it truly comes alive. The unofficial winter capital of WA (it’s also known as Fridgetown!) is packed to the brim with history, as well as plenty of spots for eating, drinking and exploring. Located around 3hrs from Perth, Bridgetown is the perfect place for a relaxing weekend escape when you need some time away from the hustle and bustle. Is this one of Perth’s most picturesque coastal walks? This 2.4km loop trail takes around 30 minutes to complete and boasts panoramic views of the sea.  Point Peron is located just a few minutes drive from the city centre of Rockingham and is known for it’s protected sandy beaches, rugged limestone cliffs and family-friendly trails. There is also a cute little coffee van @vanillasprinkl3s located at the bottom of the trail on Point Peron Road where you can grab a post hike sweet treat.  Tag your walking buddy! #perthisok #pointperon
