This character portrait of a Rastaman peeling a roasted breadfruit is an iconic site on the roadsides in Jamaica. This lovely guy was photographed by Nicky Williams in Kingston and I painted it in bold and blocky acrylics, with her kind permission. You can choose your size and medium for a print of Breadfruit Rasta to be created in Texas and shipped direct to your home address.

Here are some views around town in beautiful Burnham, starting with the Museum, where there’s a taster wall showing one piece from each artist in the trail and the fun postcard auction (place a silent bid in the box for your favourite one - highest bidder gets the postcard).
I had a lovely walk around some of the art trail venues (including @marionseyephotoart at @peaberriescoffee , @carolchesherart at @groundcoffeehouse_@tracysaunderspaints .
I didnt get photos of all of them - but don’t miss out on @sculptriss ‘s powerful statement piece - an installation about the harm done by ‘big Oil’’s pollution to our marine ecosystem ! -venue26.
Thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful sculptures (@woodforthesole ) and paintings at Hilbre Studio on Marsh Rd.

"Yellowstone 1 " • Available
A semi-abstract landscape, inspired by the sulphur pools in Yellowstone National Park. I created this painting without using a brush, just pushed the paint around with other implements, like an old credit card. I really enjoyed the process.

The first time I painted sunflowers on a large scale, I used watercolour and some mixed media for texture and impact. I wanted the background to be somewhat contemporary and abstract, so I invented the border design. The main reference photos I took of some sunflowers I bought at a farmers' market in Holland, Michigan. It was an interesting challenge to create a wide format composition from a round bucket of flowers and I really wanted to sunshine to sing out from them, showcasing the textures of centres and stems, as well.
Priced to include shipping to most destinations, this wide format painting is ideal for above a bed or fireplace. It is unframed and will be shipped rolled into a tube for you to frame after purchase. It should be framed under glass, with a mat/mount.
