🏇🏽 How to spend a day at Ascot 🏇🏽
If you’re visiting the races for a day, you’re in for a treat as there is so much entertainment and fun to be had throughout the day.
🚂My day started around 11am leaving London to reach Ascot from Waterloo, which takes just an hour.
🍴En route to Ascot Racecourse we stopped at Egham to enjoy a pub lunch at the
@thekingsarms__egham , which was a relaxed way to have a sit down meal without trying to fit all that within the grounds of the racecourse.
🏇🏽 After lunch it’s time for the races
- The first race begins at 2:30 and the last finishes around 6pm.
You don’t need to watch all of them but it’s definitely fun to catch a few as they’re super short and quite thrilling to watch.
🍹 In the meantime, enjoy a drink or two in the sunshine, have a good time and relax. The venue isn’t overwhelmingly big so you can easily explore it and select which areas you enjoy and prefer to spend time in.
🥁 Once the races have finished, absolutely don’t miss the band at the end. It’s so much fun and everyone gets involved with singing and dancing.
🚗 Time to leave. If you’ve decided to stay nearby,
@thekingsarms__egham also have rooms and voted by The Times for great places to stay in 2021.
Hope you enjoy!
