Last week, we hosted a string quartet concert at the @chelseamarketny Maker’s Studio with @concertsforcompassion . It was a beautiful night of music, food, culture and community! We’d like to give a huge thank you to @concertsforcompassion , as well as all those in attendance, and of course the talented musicians that serenaded us! 📸: Sophia Szokolay

Meet Shanthi! In honor of World Refugee Day, we spoke with the chefs at our kitchen and asked them to share a fond memory they have of home. Here’s what Shanthi had to say. “My family is around the world now. so there’s no problem there. We all meet from time to time. I still miss my country. I miss the food there. It’s so yummy! We have so much fruit in Sri Lanka, and many different kinds of fruit. I miss that.” #WorldRefugeeDay

Meet Shahnaj! In honor of World Refugee Day, we spoke with the chefs at our kitchen and asked them to share a fond memory they have of home. Here’s what Shahnaj had to say. “I lived in Sylhet, Bangladesh. My fondest memories were in university. I didn’t do much besides studying, but I had so many friends those years. Now, they’re all around the US. Michigan, Florida, Buffalo, all over. I meet them often, and it makes me very happy. It gives me a sense of home away from home.” #WorldRefugeeDay

Here’s what Ruqayah had to say. “I’m Moroccan, and I love my country— I miss it. I love to walk through the streets and see my family. Meet Rajab! In honor of World Refugee Day, we spoke with the chefs at our kitchen and asked them to share a fond memory they have of home. Here’s what Rajab had to say. “Going on picnics with my friends. We have a little mountain behind our village that we go to regularly, and that’s where I learned cooking. Our community has a lot of young people who gather there and share food, so a lot of us learn how to cook from that. We’ll go there from the morning til the night, cooking all the way.” #WorldRefugeeDay
