#6 /30 of finding scenes from Indian films that resonates with life of Indian people
🎬 Sonata (2017)
There can be no competition between male friendships and female friendships because both are completely different. This movie exactly shows the psychological interactions in a female friendship- so many emotions- care, acceptance, jealousy, complements, respect, roasting, attachment, frustration and what not. For living under the same roof, acceptance and comfort are the keys. Even at the silver age, they fight and learn at every moment. Here I chose three scenes from the movie which I think shows the pillars of friendship, specially female friendship very well.
In the first one, Dolon says that "we are all in boxes" which obviously means we are confined in our lives in some ways- the definitions may be different but the emotions are same.
The second clip is a very beautiful shot which defines each character by their hair - Dolon has open flowy smooth hair which shows how easy going and fun loving she is, Aruna has a neatly tied bun which shows her balanced and controlled sophisticated life while Subhadra has coloured frizzy open hair which shows that though her life seems very fun from outside but her inner turmoils are also not well hidden.
The third scene shows their acceptance and happiness despite having these differences through laughter and hugs. It shows how important it is to be comfortable in your own skin around people you call your true friends.
