We did our first exhibition @fashionarttoronto this season!!🤩🤩🤩. I found my favourite team and we went from shooting to up on the wall at the show in one week! I really wanted to capture the emotions I felt growing up being color blind and wanting to create images that I saw in my head but feeling I had no real outlet. For my entire life I felt muted. It wasn’t until my uncle lent me a camera that i suddenly had a voice. So that feeling of repression followed by release is what we were going for. Color blind Self portrait - Acrylic on wood 🍄 So one night during the pandemic I decided to take a large amount of mushrooms and paint a self portrait about how I feel being color blind. I realized then how powerful psychedelics can be. Now, time to time I make a point to go on a little journey to shake things loose and see what kind of ways I’ve become stuck in life or in my mindset. Psychedelics have been nothing but powerfully helpful for me. I’ve got to paint more. Shroomy paint night anyone? #psychedelicart #psychadelicpainting
