Fruiting #chestnutmushrooms#enoki and #kingoystermushroom from bags of rice - this is the technique for top-fruiting mushrooms (including healing 🍄). See my last video for side fruited like #blueoystermushrooms and #lionsmane
1) Tear off tops of colonised bags of rice (see previous reels on how to inoculate and colonise)
2) Fill with water and soak for 2 hours
3) Drain and massage the tops of the bags to flatten them out.
4) Add a small layer of mushroom substrate or ‘soil’. Check out previous reels on how to make this.
5) put into fruiting conditions. Stay tuned to see how it goes!
Thanks @mycopunks for the lively liquid cultures!

Loving this is epic t-shirt from @mycopunks 😄
These guys are my go-to for mushroom cultivation equipment and I always enjoy my interactions with them! The mycology industry is growing fast in the UK and companies like this are important to maintain a sense of connection to these organisms, rather than just allowing it to become like any other industry.
I've also now got more free stickers than I know what to do with 😂😂 🍄
✨🌍🌱 Today, on Earth Day, let’s give special thanks for the abundance of tools, medicines and nourishment nature gifts us. Obviously it’s Earth Day everyday …and one of the ways we can honour her is by passing on her wisdom✨
✨Flashback to @darren_le_baron and myself hosting William @mycosymbiote at our spring equinox ‘Mycology Odyssey’ event last month. Grateful for all the sponsors and for those of you who joined us! 🌱🍄🟫💚 #EarthDay#PoweredByNature
Found a yellow morel, Morchella esculenta. Boiled up some water and recycled the Mycopunks cardboard packaging. Now 4 weeks later there's teenie, weenie pins a popping! Yee har ☺️
EDIT* teenie weenie mushlings were a coprinelis inkcap tub nabber species. Phooey but not the end. Bodget Project Morel part 2 is still happening.
We're a pair of health enthusiasts and we'll be growing health-promoting fungi starting in the tent behind us.
This is the beginning of our urban farm, phase one will be Lions Mane and Grey Oyster mushrooms.
Feel free to get in touch, our first crops will be harvested in May 2024.
