Moving on to the next island- BORACAY! #philippines
There aren't that many vegan friendly restaurants on this island compared to El Nido for instance but just enough I'd say for our 5 day stay. There were a couple i didn't get a chance to try but I'm glad Nonie's was not one of them 🙃
Nonie's is a filipino inspired health food restaurant in Boracay. They are sustainable - working primarily with family owned farms to source their ingredients. Great menu with vegan options clearly labelled. The staff are super helpful too in terms of customising a dish to make it vegan. The menu includes salads, grain bowls, smoothie bowls, curries, bao sliders, smoothies, kombucha, cold pressed juices, hot drinks and desserts. We visited Nonie's after an early dinner so didn't have room to try more food unfortunately! We ordered the below:
⭐️ Tableya smoothie bowl - local chocolate, fresh coconut, banana, peanut butter with veganised dulce de leche topped with banana, cocao nibs & chia seeds
⭐️ Blue flower ternate latte
Both were super delicious, esp the smoothie bowl 😋 It's not a bad walk down from White beach but ideal if you are staying or lounging around in Station X
