What We Had:
🍽️👥 Super Bilao (1,370) 2 choices of grilled chicken: chicken pyanggang & Dolfo’s chicken inasal, squid, tuna belly, shrimp, baked clams, tortang talong, mangga or singkamas, bagoong, 4 scoops of java rice- good for 4: great value for money as the serving is generous and everyone has something for them in the bundle!😃 clams, tuna belly, squid and shrimp were fresh; black chicken and classic inasal were legit noms; java rice was not oily and more delicious than many of those i’ve tried; their talong was a revelation!😋
🍨 Knickerbocker (230) mixed fruits-watermelon, jackfruit, bananas-and jelly with two scoops of ice cream: best enjoyed mixed together like your traditional halo-halo. that delicious drizzle really made us want to keep eating!😝
🍲🥥🔥 Tiyula Itum (280 solo/460 sharing) Beef soup in burnt coconut & chili: it’s salty, tasty, and complex! certainly a nice twist to what we usually call nilaga. southie carlo recommends adding some calamansi to offset the saltiness.👌🏽
🍲 Kare-Kare (310) Beef chunks in ox tripe: the winning dish of the day!!! perfect consistency with the peanut sauce, fresh peanuts were used, and generous servings of meat. definitely what i’d consider one of the best versions i’ve had!🤤🙌🏼
🐽🔥 Sizzling Sisig (290) Pampanga-style; no mayo nor chicharon: loved their version v much! tangy and perfectly seasoned, plus they had a generous serving of meat with the right ration to the onions.yummerz!🤤
