Growing up as a little awkward, brown, gay emo kid, having an outlet like emo music is what saved my life. So many of the emo books out there are written by straight cisgendered white men – and hey, I’m not exactly inventing the wheel with this activity book, right? But it is nice to contribute to the landscape of emo in print.
