With only love in my heart and an open mind to educate myself and learn more every day…. No matter what . I Love You❤️🇵🇸🙏🏽

I am so grateful for all the love and can’t believe we keep selling out @orebella truly this is unreal for me and the fact that you all love Orebella as much as I do, means everything. 💫 I’m excited to share that all your purchases contribute to the ‘Ôrəbella Alchemy Foundation, an initiative so dear to my heart. The ‘Ôrəbella Alchemy Foundation works to create positive change across various communities by supporting multiple organizations, like @girlsclubny and @path.intl , that are so deeply personal to me. I can’t wait to keep growing and including even more amazing organizations. I have so many different organizations that are important to me and we will continue to roll them out. So proud of my team on this incredible start. This was my first shoot back after being out for treatment for a year and it was the most beautiful day back, with the most beautiful/talented team alive. The vision for this shoot came to me during the first conception of @orebella and the fact that our team has enough passion that we were able to put it into fruition this way makes me so proud. Israa & her little brother live a small, perfect life despite the fires that surround them. The camp they live in is their playground, the Israeli drones above them remind them of flying, their laughter is a protest and they protest often.        Israa has also been tussling with suicidal ideation & depression because of the attacks on her hometown of Jenin, Palestine. We’ve witnessed so much bloodshed- it’s easy to forget that a Palestinian child’s trauma is a life sentence. One of the largest invisible wounds one can know in this life. Israa somehow still has space in her heart to feel the guilt of being safe from a more brutal violence in Gaza.    I feel the guilt of being worlds away from any violence at all, but still I feel intimately tied to children like her, they keep me up.     This film is about the string that ties all of us to every child in pain. We are every child. @Mustafathepoet - A visionary, leader of empathy & emotion, and a true writer of our times. I’m so proud to be a part of this project. Thank you for your passion, your art, your pain, your understanding and ability to make everyone that crosses your path feel Love. And to my new baby brother, Abdul. You are a light, force to be reckoned with, a beautiful soul with a pure heart. I feel so proud to watch you grow in all the ways you have, even with the cards that life has dealt you. You are smart, you are kind, you are respectful , your love for your family and you are everything that a young boy should be. You Remind me of my Anwar. Of my baba as a young boy. Palestine on my mind, in my blood and on my heart. Always… While I still have to go to work , even through this horror, to wear our culture makes me a proud Palestinian & I want the world to continue to see Palestine, wherever we go. I want to highlight designers that have highlighted the Palestinian cause through the years. This is a Kiffiyeh dress, made by #michaelandhushi @hushi5 in 2001. A beautiful way to represent the history, labor of love, resilience and, most importantly, the art of historic Palestinian embroidery. If you don’t know what’s happening right now in Gaza, watch my stories (and find other accounts leading to Palestinians on the ground) and please educate yourself on the on going occupation and genocide that is happening RIGHT NOW in Gaza. Do not be desensitized to the horror that is being endured by the Palestinian people. (Go to my highlights of 2024🇵🇸.) While you do that , I will show you about a beautiful part of our culture. The Kiffiyeh. *Palestinian Kiffiyeh. * The patterns on the Palestinian keffiyeh symbolize various themes: Olive leaves: Strength, resilience, perseverance. Fishnet: The larger part of the of the keffiyeh is the fishnet pattern which resembles the fishnet, and the relationship between the Palestinian fisherman and the sea. It symbolizes abundance and grace. To many of us the sea also means Freedom. Especially to Palestinians living in the West Bank, and have no access to the sea, due to restricted movement. Sea Waves: Resemble the strength, and resilience of our communities which persevered after 73 years under military occupation and oppression. Some posts on social media wrote that the resemblance come from the olive leaves which is also an important symbol, but after a conversation with the Judeh Hirbawi from Hirbawi Factory in Hebron he said that it comes from sea waves. Bold: Represents the trade routes going through Palestine which played a vital role in carving the history and rich and diverse culture of our communities. With that being said …. ALL EYES ON RAFAH 🇵🇸
