It's time to start the week on a ✨positive note!✨ Theatre SMRT by Commonwealth Artists Student Theatre is a hands on co-op partnering students with extensive knowledge in technical theatre with students who are looking to grow their technical skills. 🎭 The students at the participating schools, which have emerging theatre programs, gain autonomy over their work and contributions to their schools' productions. This program, made possible by a Catalyzing Impact grant from ArtsWave, served over 135 students and is a testament to the arts and how they fuel creativity and learning! #CincyArts #mondaypositivity @castnky

"Mother's Tongue" is a project from Emily Hanako Momohara that intertwines her origins through traditional Japanese characters juxtaposed with contemporary American landscapes, illuminating a diasporic middle ground. #TBT to July 2023! Through their MOVE initiative, Pones collaborated with independent BIPOC artists, including local artist Michael Coppage. Their combined work, titled "Rainbow Box," communicated the stories of 7 Black LGBTQIA+ individuals. Performances set to interview audio were filmed at The Carnegie, and large photographic displays could be viewed at Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati, Know Theatre of Cincinnati, and even the American University of Paris! 🌈 What an incredible way to wrap up our look back at ArtsWave #Pride Grant projects over the years! #CincyArts @ponesinc @michael_coppage @thecarnegie @ensemblecincy @knowtheatre
