Did you know that Wrest Park was once a hospital? 🏥 In the First World War, libraries were transformed into wards and around 1600 patients were treated at Wrest in total 🩺 ALT An image of a statue of a woman, on a lawn. Exciting things are happening at Dover Castle 👀 Opening on 22 July, see the story of the 1216 Siege brought to life in the castle’s northern defences. Travel underground through the medieval tunnels. A garden mystery...🕵️ Did you know that there's been a stunning garden at Walmer Castle since 1725? Anyone fancy a spot of tennis? 🎾 When Sir William St John Hope excavated the east end of the church at Kirkham Priory the site was privately owned. Waltzing around Witley Court 💃🎶 We’re thrilled to reveal that we have found and reproduced a lost piece of music named after the ruined Witley Court in Worcestershire, once deemed ‘the Versailles of the West’. Live renditions of the Whitley Court Waltz will be performed for visitors at Witley Court this weekend ☀️

Sometimes described as a 17th-century 'playboy's mansion', Bolsover Castle also has a sensitive side 👼 The Heaven Closet was William Cavendish's little writing room, where he would compose his letters ✍️ ALT Two images showing a dark room, with gold panelling and painted cherubs. A birds eye view of St Catherine's Castle is the best way to see its military defences. 👀⚔️ Originally built by Henry VIII in the 1530s, the castle was modified in the 19th century and then again during the Second World War. 🛡️🏰 ALT: An aerial image of a small coastal castle.
