This meet went anything but according to plan. That being said, it was one of the most incredible experiences I have had thus far. Powerlifting never fails to challenge me mentally and physically, and this one taught me complete and total resiliency along with responsibility. I’ve gotta take accountability for my actions. It didn’t go according to plan because of a lot of missteps on my part. But it was a beautiful learning experience, and as soon as we got it down, I had a wonderful time.
- I’d like to thank the people I’ve had the privilege of meeting and working with throughout my journey. First and foremost @strongest_n_dacity_225 . He was my anchor throughout this meet, and I would have been lost without him. Thank you for always believing in me.
- I’d furthermore like to thank my teammates @lsupowerlifting and family for cheering me on through it all. It’s a great motivator and blessing to have such a solid support system.
- And of course, this experience was made all the more wonderful with the people I met along the way. Powerlifting has introduced me to the kindest and most supportive strangers quickly turned friend as we all work to be a little better today than we were yesterday.
I’m grateful for my opportunity to lift at my first Collegiate Nationals and I’m ecstatic for the future. All glory to God 🙌🏽
Late post but I had the best time cheering this lil beast on at her first powerlifting meet! 8 years old & setting records already 💪🏽💛These moments are everything to me, and I cannot wait to see where she continues to go from here
