@villageofpoint Edward’s Canada Day is always a BLAST 💥 of delicious treats, great music, tons of activities, and … what else … OH YA! US!!!
We love being part of this awesome annual event with lots of free stuff for the community!! Thank you Point Edward for having us back! We can’t wait to do it again!!
Why didn’t I make a post celebrating pride month on June first?
Pride is not just a month of visibility, celebrations or recognition. It is a year long commitment to supporting and uplifting our family, friends, neighbours and everyone we engage with to be able to live with authenticity, respect and love!
I’m grateful for the opportunity to live not only my personal life with that same authenticity, respect and love but to also carry those values through my business. My logo stays rainbow every day because whether it’s June or not I’m Queer 365 days a year!
I recognize that it’s a privilege to be able to live where I do, and to live freely and safely as part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community every day of my life, while knowing others do not receive that same freedom or security.
Let’s remember who changed their logo on June first, who will change them back on July first and hold them accountable to their allyship the rest of the year! Remember that ally is a verb, not a noun. Ally in actions, not in titles!

Where are we with Harbourfront?
We’ve received a LOT of support and we’re working with the York Quay Neighbourhood Association and a local MPP to request a meeting to discuss either bringing back the program this year, or secure a letter detailing campus security will not impede lawful busking activity until the Harbourfront Centre has resources to offer a program again.
P.s. The YQ Neighbourhood let us know they’ve never complained about the licensed buskers. They HAVE complained about HC’s MainStage sound system.
Let’s #BringBuskersBack to Harbourfront!
Since we can’t share the 📰 on Facebook and Instagram lately DM for the article 😉
It’s been a busy week advocating for the return of buskers to Harbourfront Centre and interviewing with the media, currently the petition sits at 395 signatures and our support base is always growing larger

@kyle.sipkens and @dawn_dreams interviewed by @citynewsto today about Buskers returning to the Harbourfront Centre.
Initially telling us they would like to keep the Busker program on pause for 2024, the Harbourfront Centres most recent communication has further shifted the goal posts and timelines to the program returning in 2026-2027. We do not believe there is reasonable cause to further delay the program two more years.
Please continue to share our posts, share the petition, we have a letter template available to send to share. We’re not done fighting yet!
