Exciting things ahead…💙🖤 Yesterday was my last day of 8th grade, and now I’m officially a high schooler! My school celebrated the end of the year with a field trip to Six Flags Great Adventure in NJ! This summer is going to be JAM PACKED full of dancing! In a little over a week I’m heading to NYC for @nycda nationals! Then, I’m flying out to Orlando for @thedanceawards ! @nycda Meadowlands was EVERYTHINGG❤️‍🔥 Out of almost 300 dancers in the teen room, I’m so fortunate to be chosen as an NYCDA Outstanding Dancer Runner Up! This honor comes with a full tuition scholarship for the NYCDA National Season Finale, the opportunity to participate in the National Outstanding Dancer Experience, and automatic acceptance into NYCDA’s winter intensives and summer pre-professional intensives. I also got to represent my studio @inspireddancearts as a Studio Showcase Dancer. It was such a unique experience to get to be featured throughout the weekend in many classes! Thank you so much to all the NYCDA staff - @lanterijoe @kimcraven.2 , @gracebuckleychoreography , @tonytestaofficial , @desmondrich7 , @chloearnoldtaps for seeing something in me. This was such a confidence booster, especially as we head into Nationals! Days 1 & 2 at @nycda Meadowlands was everything 🔥 On Thursday afternoon I got to compete my lyrical solo Listen by @acua_inspired ! @inspireddancearts And on Friday afternoon I had my first day of workshop classes! This was my FIRST EVER time at NYCDA, and the staff & faculty were so welcoming, and the classses were so different to anything I’ve experienced before! I love the motivation behind NYCDA, so thank you to @kimcraven.2 , @gracebuckleychoreography , @tonytestaofficial , @desmondrich7 , @chloearnoldtaps and especially @lanterijoe for making this happen! And one more thing! @bella_baldino it was so great to meet you, and it’s so funny how we did. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐭 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝟐𝟒’ 🩰 Variation: Peasant Pas from Giselle @inspireddancearts I’m very excited to share about my experience at the @thectclassic ! Ballet is one of my favorite styles of dance, and I’ve always been a bunhead since I started dancing. When Miss Mimi @mimimarchesona selected me and a few other girls to learn a variation and compete it en pointe at the Connecticut Classic, I was ecstatic! This was an amazing opportunity, and a chance to have a new experience. Learning this variation took a ton of hard work, and we only had a few months to prepare. Ballet competitions are definitely a little out of my comfort zone, and much different from regular dance competitions. But I’m hooked, and I can’t wait to see what variation I will learn next!
