I've always sympathised with the talented individuals that work within the music industry who don't create music or perform, but still help to build profiles and effectively express other people's art. In most cases, it's a thankless task with none of the online glory.
Luke loves his job. It’s a privilege to work as he does, shooting and documenting moments in spaces with constantly refreshing energy, no matter the genre or event.
The work, however, can be tiring. Traveling at anti-social times, being awake till the early hours of the morning, and having to constantly process and sort through endless hours of clips is necessary but draining. There’s something dreamlike about the whole process of working and traveling, where the days begin to blend together as sleeping, eating and working routines suffer.
Luke has battled with the age-old arguments against a hedonistic lifestyle, becoming numb at points to feelings of love and enjoyment that are paramount among those who frequent clubs.
This video is a celebration of Luke and everyone else who tirelessly helps to build the underground music community, worldwide.
